But uh yeah like… fiction is different from reality. Fiction is a realm and medium in which all sorts of stories can be explored to their deepest and darkest depths without consequence. Fiction does not automatically have any bearing on reality. People are allowed to do and ship whatever the hell they want, no matter how fucked up it might be. Because it’s fiction.

It’s puritanical bullshit like this that gives fandom a bad rep. Like wow you’re gonna give people shit for what two fictional characters they like to see together. As if it has any bearing on reality at all. Sit the fuck down and get a hobby, bud.

Also, in regard to your tags, Tumblr is an open platform, not an echo chamber (though it tends to seem that way sometimes). You can’t post something more or less controversial (though what have we come to when whether or not people should be allowed to do as they please with fictional goddamn characters has become a point of controversy) and not expect a reply and debate.
